I am 24 and a full time mom. I have always struggled with weight problems and since having my son I have not been able to lose the extra weight I put on. I finally got the dreaded phone call form my Dr. and she said I am insulin resistant, so if I don't lose weight I will be diabetic before I am 30. Thanks but I will pass :) So this is my journey to take my life back so I can be a better mom and wife!

HW: 250 lb (276 lb if you count while I was pregnant)

Some days I feel like a bum! I have been going to Zumba almost 4 times a week every week but when I am not chasing my son around I just feel like I am not doing enough. I know the Zumba is helping because I have already lost about 10 lb since the my last doctors appointment in August! I have a job interview tomorrow so maybe that will give me something to do even tho I won’t get to spend as much time with my son…

I am 17 years old! I used to be 102 but I hated the way I looked so I lost weight! My parents are taking me to the doctor this week as my fingers and lips started to trun blue! I guessI really do need to gain! Thanks for all the help! :)

I am so sorry to hear that! You definitely need to go and get the help so you can be healthy. Instead of worrying about being skinny try to focus on healthy. You can be skinny and look bad just like fat can look bad. Try to eat healthy and workout, I personally want to see muscles when I look in the mirror instead of bones… and I don’t muscles like the crazy body builder ladies, they kind of scare me lol! I hope all works out for you, definitely let me know how it goes!

First off, how old are you? If you only weigh 86 lbs and you are in your teens or older you may need to see a doctor. 86 lbs is to light for your height. The lowest you really should be is around 102 lbs. You could be doing your body more harm by trying to lose weight than you want. You may have actually reached a place were you can lose no more. Your bones aren’t going to go away so you have to account for them. I am not an expert, but in my opinion your best option would be to call a doctor and get some serious help before you cause irreversible damage or end up dying. Sorry I couldn’t help with an actual way to lose weight but in your case I believe you need to look into gaining!
